MIX Experiences

MIX product and Google Ads API use

Public product and integration documentation for Google’s compliance review.

Company and product

Suelio LLC owns and operates MIX Experiences. MIX is a location-aware audio story platform. The consumer product is an iOS app that plays stories based on where a listener walks, the direction they travel, and how long they remain at a place.

MIX Studio is the creator platform in development for journalists, museums, artists, and community groups to build and publish these place-based stories. Studio is currently also used by authorized Suelio staff for internal content, operations, analytics, and advertising work.

Consumer iOS app — available now

Listeners discover nearby stories, begin a walk, and hear story moments tied to their movement through real places.

Discover: listeners browse stories that are near them or available anywhere.

Experience: the app plays story moments during a walk and records the listener’s progress.

Creator platform — in development

This in-development build shows the planned MIX Studio authoring flow. Creators define a route, add story stops and narration, review the experience, and publish it for the consumer app.

How we use the Google Ads API

Suelio uses the Google Ads API only to manage and measure campaigns promoting its own MIX iOS app. This is a first-party, internal tool. We do not manage advertising for customers, expose the tool to outside users, or share our developer token.

  1. Authorized staff choose an action.
Staff use MIX’s internal command-line tools to view performance or prepare a campaign status or budget change.
  2. The tool accesses Suelio's configured MIX account.
It reads campaign and performance data or applies the explicitly requested change through the Google Ads API.
  3. MIX reports and enforces limits.
Results appear in the internal command-line dashboard. Spend-increasing changes are checked against channel and shared daily limits.

Implemented internal CLI

The same command-line surface used by authorized Suelio staff exposes the Google Ads workflow:

mix-studio-cli marketing ads google status
mix-studio-cli marketing ads google accounts list
mix-studio-cli marketing ads google campaigns list
mix-studio-cli marketing ads google reports performance
mix-studio-cli marketing ads google campaigns set-status
mix-studio-cli marketing ads google campaigns set-budget
mix-studio-cli marketing ads dashboard --days 30

API operations

  • List accounts visible to Suelio's credentials to validate the configured MIX account; campaign, reporting, and write operations use only that configured customer ID.
  • Manage existing MIX campaigns by updating campaign status and daily budgets.
  • Retrieve campaign performance metrics for internal reporting and experiments.
  • Use dry-run previews before changes and require an explicit apply action for writes.

Scope: one company, its configured MIX Google Ads account, and its own mobile app. Account discovery only validates that configured account. No client campaign management, third-party ad management, developer-token resale, or public API access.

Business model

MIX serves listeners through the consumer mobile app. The creator platform in development will let organizations and independent creators author and publish location-aware audio stories. Google Ads automation supports customer acquisition for MIX itself; advertising management is not a product sold to creators or other companies.
